An all-volunteer organization providing basic needs assistance to people and families in Gaithersburg, including food, infant needs, funding for prescriptions, transportation, and financial support/ referrals for residents facing eviction.


Helping families in Maryland and Virginia achieve financial stability by increasing access to employment opportunities, fresh food, recreational activities, and education.

The Connect-a-Ride Transportation Resource Center is a free service through the Jewish Council for the Aging that helps seniors and disabled adults of all ages find the transportation they need.


Mercy Health Clinic (MHC) is a non-sectarian, non-profit community health clinic serving uninsured, low-income adult residents of Montgomery County. The organization is committed to providing high-quality medical care, health education, and pharmaceuticals to eligible patients free of charge. 

Interfaith Works

Interfaith Works is a nonprofit that helps people living in Montgomery County, MD, who are experiencing homelessness or living in poverty.

Hungry 4 Votes

Hungry for Votes

Reducing hunger and homelessness by empowering low-income people with essential resources such as food, clothes, and community support. The organization also helps people register to vote, apply for rental assistance, energy bill assistance, unemployment, find COVID-19 testing and vaccine locations, and more social services.

Hungry for Votes creates clothing, book, and toy donation drives to distribute to people in need.

Gaithersburg Financial Empowerment Center

The Financial Empowerment Center is a free public service for residents of the City of Gaithersburg. We can help you save for a house, pay down debt, connect with lower-cost banking and improve your credit score. Appointments can be virtual or in-person and are available in English, Spanish and other languages.
