4 Season Giving Tree

PROGRAMS

We continue to develop programs to meet the ongoing needs of families in our community.

           HOLIDAY FAMILY  SUPPORT PROGRAM

This program provides the community—neighborhood groups, condo associations, book clubs, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, etc.—with the opportunity to make the holidays more meaningful for needy families by matching them with those fortunate enough to give new toys, clothes, needed items, etc. Donors have the option to either provide monetary support to the 4 SEASON GIVING TREE (tax-deductible) or they can directly be matched with the wish list of the matched family.

BACK-TO-SCHOOL PROGRAM

In the fall, we initiate a back-to-school drive, inviting families in need to request gently-used or new items their children need for school in the fall. Continuous needs are posted in real-time in our Facebook group. Please join this group to stay up to date on the assistance we need with new requests.

OUR VOLUNTEER FACEBOOK GROUPS

We communicate with all our donors through our two Facebook groups, one in the 20878 and one in Frederick County. Get immediate news of the needs of local families by joining these Facebook groups.

MATCHING PROGRAM

The goal of the Matching Program is to directly match giving families to every family in need, with a focus on upcycling gently-used clothing and toys in order to meet the needs of local families on a continuing basis.

SUMMER PROGRAM

This Summer Program is designed to ensure that the most disadvantaged families in our community will have support through the summer months. Identified families are asked to provide a list of the essentials they need for the upcoming summer months. These lists will likely include household essentials such as clothing, kitchen items, laundry detergent, soap, shampoo, summer activities and toys, bedding, towels, sheets, food, etc). Unlike the December holiday program, the summer program welcomes upcycled and gently-used items/clothing (no holes, stains or any signs of wear).
